High-Performance Motors: Brushless drone motors spin faster than any machine on the market for class-leading speed and spin. Despite the performance, the Proton is much quieter than traditional ball machines.
Quick-Change Lithium Ion Battery: No more lugging your machine out of the car to charge the battery. Just pop out the battery and charge on the convenient desktop charger. It allows for 1000 balls per charge, but if you run out mid-practice, just swap it for an extra battery (sold separately).
User-Friendly App: The Proton Tennis Ball Machine is the smartest machine on the market, and the intuitive app interface allows you to get the most out of your practice time. Simply tap the screen where you want the ball to go, select the speed and spin, and the proprietary algorithms figure out the rest. Internal sensors and precision actuators ensure that every shot is delivered on target.

Digital Control Panel: The smart phone interface lets you get the most out of the machine, but if that’s not your thing, the Proton can be controlled like a conventional machine with a digital input knob to set speed, spin, altitude, width for a 2-line drill and delay, all displayed with highly visible LEDs and computer controlled to the exact values.
Quick-Start: If you just want to get practicing right away, try the quick start mode. With our precision motion control, calibration is rarely needed, so your first ball is ready to play. Select from beginner, intermediate and advanced and get a rally-ready sequence with just a touch.
Active Braking: Most ball machines require launch wheels to passively slow down in order to change speed and spin between shots. The Proton's 'active braking' allows for a variety of different shots in quick succession for a more realistic practice session. A 60 mph topspin shot can be quickly followed by a 20 mph slice!!
Shot Indicator: A high-brightness LED lets you know when the next ball is coming, so you are ready to crush it! It’s easily visible across the court, even in bright sunlight, and will also tell you when the machine is out of balls.
Built-In Practice Routines: Use any one of our 10 pre-made practice routines for basic rallying, cardio workouts, or specific drills such as approach and volley.
Easy-to-Create Custom Routines: Build your own custom rally in seconds. The location, speed, and spin of each shot can be selected as well as the number of seconds between each shot.
Random Ball Launch System: Challenge yourself and enhance your reaction time with the Proton's random ball launch system. This feature throws unpredictable shot patterns, mimicking the variety you'll encounter during a competitive match.
Oscillating Launch Function: Work on your footwork and court coverage with the oscillating launch function. The machine automatically sweeps the court with a programmable range, forcing you to react quickly and develop agility essential for competitive play.
Coach Mode: Instructors can work next to their students and feed balls one shot at a time - any shot, right away. We load each ball into a pre-shot chamber, where it is detected by an optical sensor. So the next ball is ready when you are. The sensor also knows when the hopper is empty so it can shut down and save power.
Lob Riser: Practice your overhead smash with the included lob-riser.
